In Secret I have
Said Nothing
John 18:19-23
19
The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of
his doctrine.
20
Jesus answered him,
I spake openly to the world; I ever
taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews
always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
Matt 26:55
In that same hour said Jesus to
the multitudes, Are ye come out as
against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat
daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold
on me.
Luke 4:15 And he taught in their synagogues, being
glorified of all.
John
7:14,26,28
14 Now about
the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and
taught.
26
But, lo, he
speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the
rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?
28 Then cried Jesus in the
temple as he taught, saying, Ye both
know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of
myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the
temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down,
and taught them.
21
Why askest thou
me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them:
behold, they know what I said.
22
And when he had thus
spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with
the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest
so?
Jer 20:2 Then Pashur smote
Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that
were in the
high gate of Benjamin, which
was by the
house of the LORD.
Acts 23:2 And the high priest Ananias commanded them that
stood by him to smite him on the mouth.
23
Jesus answered him,
If I have spoken
evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest
thou me?
