Divine Pressure… When we get off of the path God wants us to be on, He does not just sit back and let us keep wandering farther away from Him. He gently applies a pressure to turn us in the direction in which He wants us to turn. When the pressure turns us, He moves the pressure behind us, and gently guides us forward and back to His path. When we obey His pressure, We don’t have pain other than the gentle pain that is turning us in the direction He wants us to turn. The pain is gentle but it will have our undivided attention until we are back on track. When we disobey, the pressure increases and more pressure comes from other directions until there is only one direction we can go. The pain increases until we turn into the direction the not so gentle pressure is pushing us. Once we get back on His path, and are following it properly, we won’t need divine pressure anymore, and God removes it. As long as we remain on the His path, the divine pressure will not be there. God only uses it only to bring us back when we get off His path. |
